MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Hello! My name is Carrie and I’m a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner. My goal is to assist people on their wellness journey. How we fuel our bodies plays a significant role in our health and wellbeing.
Like many people, I grew up eating the standard American diet. Meals for us consisted of some kind of meat, vegetables that generally came out of a can, and there was always bread and butter on the table. There was usually soda and other sweets in the house, and we usually had unfettered access to it. The body being the miraculous machine that it is, I did not notice any ill effects from this for quite a while. As I got older, however, I started noticing subtle changes. Eventually, the symptoms I had were not so subtle. I went for years with chronic hives, and no one could tell me why. It turned out (after close to 10 years of symptoms), that I had an autoimmune disorder called Hashimoto’s disease. Even after diagnosis, the only relief I got was from medication. No one told me that the food I was eating could make a significant difference in my symptoms. I had to learn that mostly on my own. Fast forward many years. I decided to go back to school at the Nutritional Therapy Association to learn how to help people support their bodies through nutrition. Let me help you with your journey.

My Approach
assess & Plan with 1 on 1 support
We start with an in-depth questionnaire to assess where you feel your health is right now. From there we will schedule a consultation to discover your best way forward in your health journey. Things I will teach you about:
Creating a properly prepared, nutrient dense whole foods diet.
The importance of proper digestion.
The importance of blood sugar regulation.
The importance of fatty acids in the diet.
Last, but certainly not least, the importance of hydration.
